Mixed media on canvas. Four feet by eight feet. Eight years of layers, 2017 to 2025.

The earliest layer: a girl behind the white circular lines, fading. A tiger feeding on her. Her hand reaching out to a small ash knot beside the eye.

Years later, the blue-faced figure on top. Then the large male figure now fading. The tiger still there. The tear under the eye, less visible.

None of it was planned. The figures emerged before the meaning did.

Eight years of layers. The figures emerged before the artist understood they were his parents.
